Jeld-Wen Windows & Doors Midwest Learning Center, Rantoul

Working with plans from Jeld-Wen‘s designer Spectrum Design Group, Barber & DeAtley, Inc. implemented their vision and transformed a dated space into a modern facility.  The updated space showcases Jeld-Wen’s family window, door, and hardware products throughout, and created a first of its kind, multi-faceted education center for Jeld-Wen’s dealers, builders, remodelers, and architects.  It also transformed the company Customer Support center.

The phased project included the complete removal of all finishes and many walls, the replacement of nearly every door in the facility, and the creation of new rooms, accessible restrooms, and updated work spaces for Jeld-Wen employees and management team.  Nearly every surface that an employee or customer could touch or see, and the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems to support those things, were replaced.

As General Contractor, Barber & DeAtley, Inc. performed selective demolition, structural and ornamental steel installation, interior framing, drywall, interior trim, casework installation, and various other decorative elements.  Barber & DeAtley, Inc. also provided supervision and coordination of all subcontractors on the project.
